How stimulating...

A supporter of Democratic presidential nominee Senator Barack Obama (D-IL) holds a fake bill with Obama's face at a campaign rally in Fayetteville, North Carolina, October 19, 2008.

Is this the big "we are the change we've been waiting for"?!! At least House Republicans grew a collective spine; along with 11 Democrats, the only bipartisanism was in opposition to President Obama's porkapalooza. But hey, he "won". Who are we to stand in the way of massive, massive chump "change"?

James Simpson at American Thinker:
The only thing that can stimulate the economy right away is tax cuts. The Democrat plan provides paltry cuts and credits that will provide a meager $12 per week to most workers. Whoopee! I'll buy the first round of coffee. You want to stimulate the economy? Put big bucks back in citizens' hands NOW. A tax holiday for a few months, a la the Gohmert plan, would do that, instantly. A permanent across the board tax cut, would do much more.

But Democrats don't want to hear about it, because tax cuts are a Republican idea. Democrats are not interested in stimulating the economy so much as they are interested in securing their majority.

It feels good to be a part of loyal opposition again. Enough is enough. Shut Republicans out of the process? Not so smart.

Hey, we're in good company on this one, most Americans have a real big problem with this stimulus/bailout. We may just come out of this thing smelling like a rose, IF the Senate plays it smart too. I'm sure there will be a package, but the Republicans should keep voting 100% NO until and unless we get a much better plan. What's the big GD hurry anyway?

Obama already has a silver dollar minted with his mug on it. If you watch the video at the link I left, please try not to get sick.

Rush hoped that Obama FAILS as do so many of US do.
Rush is not afraid to say it as he thinks it.
Maybe you feel it's better to pussy-foot around the issue but HE does not nor do I.
We do not want America to become a Socialist country so what is wrong with hoping that he fails.
I do not support him (Obama) and so many of the bloggers on these boards have expressed the same opinion.
Yes, it's OK to NOT to support a President who is SO off the wall as this man is.

Clearly, many of BHO's adherents are looking for a handout. Idiots!

Myself,

I don't listen to Rush; but I've seen the controversy, and I think he offered a clarification regarding his "I want Obama to fail" statement, which is seized by the political left out of context.

Expressing support for the office of the presidency doesn't mean you support the political policies of the president.

Otherwise, we need to quit whining about 8 years of opposition to Bush.
